A Weekend day in my life- Winter edition!
It's been a while- I know. I have been SO busy with A Levels and my job. But, I am sorting out my priorities and I am hopefully going to have more time to work on this blog as I love it!
I am a big fan of Autumn and Winter- it is such a beautiful, cosy time of year so this is a cosy, productive day in my life during Autumn (I did this in November). Also, this is all true. I'm not lying just to make my day look good, there's no point doing that.
Every morning of a day-off from college or work, I let my body wake up when it wants to, so I feel more energised and refreshed. I don't wake up any later than 8:30 usually. On this day I woke up at about 08:00.
I always drink water when I get out of bed so that I feel more energised and hydrated. On this particular day I used a really large cup (I love it!).
I then made some breakfast- I always make massive breakfasts as I am hungry whenever I wake up in the morning. I made some toast- One slice has avocado and lemon juice and the other slice has crunchy peanut butter and banana.
While I eat my breakfast, I watch a TV programme that I'm watching at the moment. I don't have much time to watch TV programmes during the week so I will watch some on my day-offs.
After that, my cat came in to see me, so I sat with her for a while. 😊
At this point it probably quite late in the morning so I went up and chose an outfit; I am loving my clothes collection now, as I decluttered my bedroom. I chose a comfortable outfit but also looked fashionable.
I went into the bathroom to get ready for the day. If you read my posts from my old blog, you might have seen me put on makeup and saw my makeup routine; on this day I went makeup free as I didn't go anywhere.
I put on my slippers as it got really cold. Also, I was wearing my new trousers. They're beautiful!
For the rest of the morning, I tidied and cleaned my bedroom, cleaned my brushes and hoovered the carpets upstairs. I love doing this, It's very therapeutic and it helps me for the week ahead, as I like to work in a clean and tidy space. I always put on some music as I work. I used my record player. As you can probably tell I had a lot of clothes to put away!
I spent some time cleaning my makeup brushes and just completed jobs that I have been putting off for a while.
After cleaning and tidying, we had a delicious dinner; I'm vegetarian so I had some roast vegetables, potatoes and other lovely food. Roasted vegetables are my favourite food!
We always have something sweet to eat after dinner so we had some macarons and cakes and watched some TV together. I hardly every watch TV so it's nice to have time as a family. We also watched a film which pretty much took over most of the afternoon.
My cat always goes silly and sleepy when we are together in the living room. She is so cute and I think she's a very happy cat.
After that, I decided to start growing my hyacinth which I got given for my birthday. It will look beautiful when it has grown. As I am typing this, it is currently about 6-7 cm long.
In the evening, I thought it was time to get my ironing done. I had quite a lot to do and it put it off for weeks at a time.
After having a bit of food, I went up to have a relaxing bath. I used a homemade bath bomb (I'm just trying to use them up as I bought some lush bath bombs). I have never used candles next to a bath before so it was very beautiful and relaxing.
Before going to bed, I decided to type up some notes from college and make some revision resources to read through. I also started to type up this post that you're reading right now.
The last thing I did was I got into bed! I have lots of blankets on my bed at this time of year as it is very cold.
That is all for today, I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I have lots of ideas for new posts for the new year.
Have a merry Christmas (or if you don't celebrate it, I hope you have a lovely week) and a happy new year!
